Grandstream Wifi AP - User Diagnostics - Power Cycle

The lights on your Grandstream Wifi Access Point can tell a lot about what happening:

SOLID BLUE - Unit is ready to use and should be working -  if the lights are solid blue but you can't connect to your Wifi See POWER CYCLING below
SOLID GREEN - Unit is powered on but not yet functioning
BLINKING GREEN - Firmware update is in progess
SOLID RED - Call tech support
BLINKING PURPLE - Unit has been factory reset and requires provisioning - Call Tech Support
NO LIGHTS - Call Tech Support

POWER CYCLING
Wifi Connectivity Issues can often be solved by power cycling your Grandstream Wifi Access Point.
It is important to follow these instructions to ensure a proper cycling.










  1. 1) Find your WiFi access point as in the picture above.











  2. 2) Turn over the access point as above.



    3) There will be one cable plugged in to the NET/POE port. Press the spring tab on the cable as shown above and pull it out.

    4) WAIT AT LEAST 15 SECONDS - THIS IS IMPORTANT!! The power needs to completely drain from the unit.

    5) Plug the cable back in to the NET/POE Port until you hear and feel a SOLID CLICK. If you plug it into the wrong port the unit will not power up. It will not harm the unit but it will not work.

    6) Wait until the lights change from GREEN to SOLID BLUE.

    7) You should now be able to connect to your WiFi, if not Call Tech Support at 289-225-1220.
